Today I've been busy cleaning up my little workshop, I have a small brick outhouse where my ship is built, away from moaning wives.:) Anyway that's another story but my good wife has bought me a fretsaw from a UK company called Axminster, at £35 I reckon its a good deal. I got it set up and had a bash and all seems ok, just need to use it more. Plus I've sorted my dremel drill stand at last, it's fixed and running great.
The last anchor for the Bounty has been finished and I'll be working now on the last bits of deck furniture which leads to the rigging. I've had some very helpful people at MSW give me some encouragement over my next build (HMS Victory), lots of links showing some incredible models plus a book on the way from the states by Gene E McClure called 'How To Build A Masterpiece In 1:96 Scale' Apparently he used the Mantua 1:98 kit as the basis of this book, I can't wait to see it. Research is going well on the HMS Victory, I call it accumulations of pictures and books, quite simply I am looking at as many models being built or finished to get my mind settled in how I want my ship to look like. I have already built the hull in my head:)
On Friday I will be traveling to London to visit the Science Museum to check out Longridge's Victory model, along with the many other model ship.
